Last year as a member of the New York Giants, Landon Collins was not permitted to hit running back Saquon Barkley. Now that the safety joined division rival Washington Redskins, he’s free to crush away.
“I’ve been ready to tackle Saquon,” Collins said over the weekend in his charity softball event, via Art Stapleton of NorthJersey.com. “That’s my guy, however. All love to him and he’s been doing his thing as most of us know. But when I get to meet him in the pit this time, it’s likely to be full-go.”

Last year with Big Blue,” Collins joked that given Barkley’s combination of size and speed, he was glad he did not need to tackle the NFL’s reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Now it is his job to stuff Barkley from the hole for two games a year. It’s a job easier said than accomplished.
After moving on from the group that drafted himCollins added that he believes he’s in a much better system for his skill compared to the one the Giants conducted last year under defensive coordinator James Bettcher.
“I don’t feel as if I bleed blue anymore,” Collins explained, via NJ.com. “I feel like [the Redskins] understand my worth and how they’ll use me in their own defense. I don’t feel as though I was used within the defense that I was playing in.”
۱ reason the Giants allowed this offseason is walked by Collins was the plot match that is questionable. Now the 25-year-old gets the chance to verify that choice erroneous, first by stuffing Barkley in the hole .
